My mother and mother in law were not into Konda kavum. They did not know how to make Konda kavum properly. Therefore, I had no one to learn this konda kavum. Last couple of years i was trying several Konda Kavum recipes online and It was not what i was looking for...! This is the very first time i got through with it.... After many failed recipes of Konda Kavum, I found the right recipe I would say... This is spot on. It makes soft and delicious Konda kavum at the end. In this way of making konda kavum, make life easy to get the konde with less hassle. I am sharing with you guys the same and I may use the same method in future as well. 3 tbsp butter (room temperature) ½ cup luke warm milk 2 tbsp sugar ¼ tsp salt 1 egg white 1 egg yolk 1 tbsp dry yeast 1 ½ cups plus ¼ cup all purpose flour Dissolve yeast in luke warm milk. add sugar into it. leave it in a warm place for 10min. Combine butter, salt, egg white and 1 ½ cups flour together. Add dissolved yeast to the flour and butter mixture. Knead it for 10min. leave it in a warm place for 40-60 min. (yeast activate at the temperature of 70'C) What I did, I left my oven on at 100'C for 2min and I covered the dough and kept it in the oven. Make sure to control the temperature if you exceed 70'C.
