නුවර ක්‍රමයට පැණි වළලු (උඳු වැල්) - Kandy method of making Peni Walalu (undu wal) Amma's Recipe

Married to a Kandy boy and sharing the his tradition was a very pleasant experience in my life. I was able to exposure to their culture, tradition and lifestyle. I do enjoy exposing to the different cultures and learn their goodies. Sometime I inspire from them. I find their culture is very positive and disciplined nature.

Their cooking takes place in their culture and Pani walalu was my favorite. My husband's family used to bring a large box Pani walalu whenever they visit my home in Galle. Sometime they packed and used send us Pani walalu overseas. All the time Pani walalu got disappeared after few minutes.

I missed their delicious Pani walalu all the time and i thought it would be hard to make them my own. This Sinhala new year in 2020, I decided to have my own Pani walalu. Due to quarantine over the C]ovid-19 time our holiday plans got cancelled and we badly missed our families back in Sri Lanka.

Therefore, I started studying online the Pani walalu recipes with the intention of preparing them my own. After studying most of the Pani walalu recipes, I find my mother (in law) nailed it and Her Pani walalu were always favorite sweet among all of us. This effort is contributed to my mother (in law ) and nangi Pranali (My sister in law) . See how they make Pani walalu in this video below;
